Sr. Software Consultant – AWS Developer

·      Provides technical support for applications and systems
·      Must be comfortable working in development and maintenance environment
·      Work with developers, peers and architects to developing new solutions or enhancements/changes to existing               applications/tools
·      Develop against agreed tasks, to the timescales estimated
·      Applicant must have a strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, strong database skills and have        experience developing web applications which combine high level server-side and client-side programming techniques
·      The applicant must be able to demonstrate that they are self-motivated and can work well with other members of their team, as well as on their own
·      Help team members to ensure team is working towards improving on development standards and practices
·      Building relation with onshore SMEs and participate and contribute consistently in the calls/forums
·      Documentation on the knowledge, processes, practices and standards
·      Possess positive attitude towards learning new tools, technologies and client driven 3rd party applications
.      Communicate effectively with other areas of the division across multiple locations

•         DynamoDB Development experience
•         Web Services, WebAPI
•         AWS API gateway
•         CSS
•         HTML 5
•         Git/SVN/TFS
•         AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification preferred


•        Proven IT experience in a commercial environment (4-6 years)
•        Knowledge of all areas of the development lifecycle
•        Good verbal and written communication skills
•        Experience working on AWS services such as S3, lambda

Primary Responsibilities

•         Follows CM (Customer Management) engineering practices to assist the delivery of successful technical projects within CM.

•         Provides 2nd line support for applications and systems.

•         Understand the customer requirements, provides task level estimates, development and unit testing of the work             packages

•         Experience working in Scrum

•         Develops to agreed milestones and delivers in accordance to a set of targets

•         Contribute with ideas and improvements for the betterment of the team and processes

•         Unit test the work package prior to independent testing

•         Time management and prioritization of the work

•         Ensures contribution in the daily stand-ups and other meetings wherever necessary

•         Maintains the development best practices and standard personally; actively participate in project tasks, following own standards
